Jonathan Medved is one of Israel’s leading venture capitalists and a seasoned entrepreneur. He founded Israel Seed Partners in 1995 and co-managed the fund until January 2006, when he started video ringtone pioneer Vringo; Israel Seed has $262M under management in four funds and has been an investor in 60 leading Israeli companies. Prior to Israel Seed, Jon built several technology startups. He was a founder and EVP of Marketing and Sales at MERET Optical Communications, Inc., between 1982 and 1991. MERET, an early pioneer in fiber-optic communication systems for video transmission, was acquired by Amoco Corporation in 1990. After moving to Israel, Jon was part of the founding management team at Accent Software, where he served as EVP of Marketing and Sales from 1992 through 1994.
