Solaria's
patented cell multiplication technology lowers the cost of solar,
enabling the next generation of high-efficiency cells. With
industry-wide silicon shortages, Solaria's promise proved enough for
solar giant Q-Cells to supply young Solaria with a silicon deal on par
with the likes of SunPower, the largest U.S. solar manufacturer.
Secret to success.
Solaria's core technological breakthrough is a proprietary
manufacturing process using solar cell multiplication technology.
Solaria's PV-multiplying process, leveraging cell singulation and
optical amplification, yields two highly efficient cells from one –
boosting cell and module delivery while at the same time cutting costly
silicon use in half. Design modifications in manufacturing will allow
Solaria to achieve a high-level of automated efficiency, enabling
production at scale to address market demand.
Our
team's extensive experience in the semiconductor and optics industries
has enabled Solaria to create a new form of solar technology that
produces two photovoltaic solar cells from one high-value cell,
increasing energy output while integrating seamlessly within existing
supply chains and industry form factors. – Solaria CEO, Suvi Sharma
